Netball: Silver Ferns defender Jane Watson will return to the Tactix for next season’s ANZ Premiership

Watson, who gave birth to daughter Tia last month, returns to the defensive circle next year and will team up with Karin Burger and Kate Lloyd, who are both back for another campaign with the Tactix.

The ANZ Premiership player of the year in 2017 and 2020 said she had not found it too hard sitting on the sidelines this year but felt ready to get back into the action and was ‘‘super excited’’ about what lay ahead. — RNZ

Ice hockey: Nazem Kadri scored the winning goal to give the visiting Colorado Avalanche a 3-2 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Tampa yesterday and put it one victory away from the Stanley Cup title.
