Open to causes Rugby: New Zealand Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson insists his organisation is open to having Ruby Tui or other players representing personal causes in a future Weetbix collectors card promotion. It was revealed this week Tui was blocked from having a rainbow flag appear with her in the promotion, so she declined to partake. Reports suggested NZR had blocked Tui rather than Weetbix’s manufacturer Sanitarium — which is owned by the Seventh-day Adventist church. But Robinson says it was a deadline issue around signing off the cards

Wylde finish in tri Triathlon: Kiwi Hayden Wilde has finished second at the latest round of the World Triathlon Series in Cagliari, run down in the last straight by Alex Yee. The Brit and Wilde went toe-to-toe through the run lap but the former was able to open up a gap which proved just enough as Wilde pushed with a late sprint to the line.
