Accountant one of two new directors for Ruralco

In a three-way race, two director vacancies were filled byMs Booker and Dunsandel dairy farmer, Tony Coltman was re-elected for a third term.

Former lawyer and Hinds contract milker Kate Beaumont-Smith was the unlucky candidate.

Independent director Brent Wheeler has also stood down after five years on the board and will be replaced by Helen van Orton, a professional director with 20 years of experience.

The board will appoint its new board leader at its next meeting this month.

RuralCo announced at its annual meeting that its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation had increased slightly to $1.27million compared with $1.23million last year.

Turnover was up at $279.1million compared with $245.3million and gross profit increased slightly to $12million from $10.6million.
