Bell Gully goes after Covid tester

Jenkins is the sole director of NZ Rapid Tests, a company registered in 2022 to supply rapid antigen tests, among other products

He is also the director of Let’s Go Beverages, a New Zealand alcohol company run from the Gold Coast that gave away a 2022 McLaren GT.

As BusinessDesk has reported, the giveaway encountered a number of setbacks and Let’s Go was involved in the recent resale of the car.

In March, Bell Gully applied to the high court at Auckland to place NZ Rapid Tests into liquidation.

The law firm declined to answer questions about why it took this step.

A lawyer acting for NZ Rapid Tests said his client didn’t want to comment while the matter was before the court.

In a minute issued last Monday, Justice Christine Gordon declined BusinessDesk’s application to access the court filings, in part because the testing company had yet to file a statement of defence.

NZ Rapid filed a memorandum opposing the liquidation on May 3.

However, as Justice Gordon noted: “Some of the content of the memorandum appears to be irrelevant to the proceeding.”
