Our president Hermien opened our meeting with our aspirations

We welcomed new member Jane to our group and hope she enjoyed her day with us.

Birthdays this month were Hazel, Hermien, Heather, Karen and Eleanor, happy birthday to you all. They were given a lovely basket of flowers, thanks again to Colleen.

Hermien thanked the members for doing meals on wheels, and also for baking for the people who donated the wool we used for knitting slippers for Glenavy School pupils.

We received a bundle of quite touching letters from the children thanking us for their beautiful slippers. Thank you children.

We talked about our coming eisteddfod festival on August 7, sorting out items and who would do what. Watch this space, it will be fun and lots of laughs.
