All levels Woodcut printmaking with Marty Vreede

Learn the techniques of making woodblock prints with master printer Marty Vreede. Using traditional hand tools, Marty will guide you through the process of making and printing from your own woodblocks to create original art prints. Suitable for all levels.

Drypoint with Esther Topfer

Delve into printmaking with a six-week drypoint course. Drypoint allows you to translate your drawings into the printed realm, enabling you to go beyond the image and into the world of mark-making, through learning to work with a new printing vocabulary. Suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience.

Acrylics, Mediums and Techniques with Pauline Allomes

A six-week course introducing participants to acrylic paint. Suitable for beginners and those who wish to learn techniques to enhance their knowledge of painting. Covers paints, mediums, brushes, composition, colour, capturing light, and more. Each week a different topic will be covered and participants will complete a small canvas to reinforce their knowledge of each technique.

Beginners Drawing with Esther Topfer

Beginners drawing is a “start from scratch” course, introducing you to the fundamentals of drawing. Esther will teach you how to look at what you are drawing and how you can translate that into your own marks and images with pencil, ink and charcoal. She will help you grow in confidence with drawing, giving you the tools to start your own practice.

Raranga with Juanita Davis

Create and explore Raranga, traditional Maori flax-weaving, with Whanganui weaver Juanita Davis. This connective class will bind you together in experience and knowledge as you learn how to identify, harvest, prepare and weave Harakeke, and the tikanga alongside the process. Suitable for beginners or those with some experience.
