One would have thought that the discovery of the bones in Leicester would have been the talk of Gore

Anyway the movie, The Lost King tells the true story of how British writer Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins) becomes obsessed by no-one knowing where Richard is buried and starts to research where that could be.

Along the way she meets up with members of the Richard III Society, who help her on her quest.

Society members are fans of Richard III and believe his reputation has been maligned by the Tudor kings that followed him.

Incidentally, there are more than 30 branches and groups of the society in the United Kingdom as well as others in the United States, Canada and even New Zealand.

Richard died in the battle of Bosworth in 1485 and was the last English king to die in battle.

Legend spoke of Richard’s body being taken on horseback to Leicester and thrown into the River Soar.

However, there was another story about him being buried in a Greyfriars church.

The church was long gone, but if its ruins could be uncovered there would be a possibility of Richard’s skeleton being found.
