Firefighters value opportunity in Canada Two Southland firefighters, Ken Keenan and Hamish Angus, have returned from a five-week stint fighting fires in Alberta, Canada. Their role as taskforce leaders was to organise crews fighting fires that had been burning for three months in native forest. They completed two 14 day shifts with two days off in between. Southland Express reporter Sandy Eggleston chatted to the two men to find out what the experience was like for them.
