Hemingford stands out after week of bull sales

At Culverden, $37,000 topped the sale at the Hemingford Charolais bull sale on Thursday afternoon, paid for lot 2, Hemingford Regency R12

‘‘We’re very happy with a strong overall result with 53 Charolais bulls sold from 56 offered at an average of $9160,’’ stud owner Sam Holland says.

Hemingford enjoyed a strong sale, beginning with $17,000 paid for lot 1 and 20 bulls selling for more than $10,000.

Joining forces with Hemingford, Alfriston Herefords offered six bulls for sale with a top price of $7000.
