House sale funds health shuttle

Lot 47, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom double garage home at 11 Searle Dr, was built over two years by local businesses alongside the Cromwell Rotary and Cromwell Lions Clubs

The house was auctioned by Edinburgh Realty in November 2021 to fund a shortfall in the cost of the Cromwell St John Ambulance Station.

The completed 181sqm home with a rateable value of $900,000 sold for $1,205,000, of which the profit was $824,436.88, lawyer Doreen Evans said on behalf of the Cromwell Rotary and Lions Clubs.

Some of the remaining funds were used last month to purchase a new health shuttle to transport people to and from essential medical and health-related appointments.

The Cromwell community was very positive, and that community spirit showed with the Lot 47 project, Ms Evans said.
