Polar plunge

Are you up for a challenge? If yes, then join others for a polar plunge into the chilly sea at Paraparaumu Beach on Friday at 4pm. Participants meet at Kāpiti Boating Club before walking down to the beach for the plunge which is organised by Raumati Masters Swimming Club. There will be prizes for some of the best dressed plungers as well as spot prizes. “The boat club has hot showers for use after your plunge and the bar will be open for drinks and snacks,” club president Marco Cecioni said. “If you are not keen on submerging yourself in chilly water please come along to watch.” Any questions contact...
