The pop-up series of monthly gigs is a collaboration between Dunedin Jazz Club and Petridish (The Dish owner), with the aim of providing a stage for emerging talent on the Dunedin jazz scene.

Playing tenor saxophone, Randel has been a regular fixture in the Dunedin jazz scene for the past few years, having recently played in the Bill Martin Septet for the launch of Martin’s new album Over to You.

Randel has brought together some of Dunedin’s finest young jazz talent, including Finn McKinlay (trombone), Jack Ta (keyboard), Darcy Monteath (bass), and Wellington-based guest drummer Harry Lentell.
