2023 is here and we are ready for whatever it throws at us! Hopefully, COVID-19 is behind us, but we will be ready to implement any health and safety measures that are required

2023 will be a year of great teaching and learning, fantastic extra-curricular opportunities, a focus on wellbeing and lots of fun!

What TBHS is all about:

● Pupils feel a real sense of belonging at TBHS; they learn together and grow together.

When a year 9 pupil steps through the front gates at TBHS, he enters a school with a rich history and a boundless future. He instantly becomes part of our whanau, but he retains his unique identity as an individual. He learns our traditions and values, and then begins his journey towards adulthood; growing and learning with his peers.

● Strong relationships are key to developing happy, positive, and purposeful young men.

At TBHS we create a positive learning environment, so success is sought after and celebrated. Our teachers ensure they form positive relationships with all their pupils — research tells us that this is one of the most important elements in the happiness and success of boys.

● All pupils should be able to achieve to their potential in their chosen pathway.

We have a full senior academic programme for those pursuing a university education. We also design courses to introduce pupils to a wide range of possible opportunities in trades, agriculture, and other highly skilled careers. We allow young men to follow their passions and abilities, so they are best positioned to make positive contributions to their communities. Scientia potestas est — knowledge is power.

● Pupil wellbeing is paramount.
