Motorsport brothers make mark

KART racer William McDonald recently returned from Italy where he competed in the Super Roc class at the world karting championships

William was in the top 10 internationally and finished in the top five fastest. He is moving into car racing next year and will compete in the 2 K Cup class and Formula Ford with a move later next year to Formula Open class in a FT 40 single seater.

His brother Harry McDonald, of Otautau, has a three-year history in kart racing — winning his class in the Southern Series in 2021.
