Team excels at ‘tough competition’

North Otago Athletics Club sent more than 20 young athletes to the Colgate Games

The annual track and field competition for children aged 7 to 14 has been run by Athletics New Zealand for more than 40 years and features two events, one for the North Island and one for the South Island.

North Otago club president Stace Smith said it was a great event that the children really enjoyed.

‘‘It went really, really well.

‘‘Busy, fun — everyone had a good time.’’
