Unlawful taking of motor vehicles

January 22 — a motor vehicle was stolen from an address in Katikati, a suspect has been identified and police inquiries are continuing.

Burglaries:

January 20 — a vacant house was broken into in Hyde St, Katikati, it appears a homeless person may be sleeping at the address.

January 22 — a shed on a kiwifruit orchard was broken into and a large quantity of items stolen. A Honda 700 side-by-side farm vehicle was stolen along with several tools.

Theft:

January 16 — a vehicle was broken into while parked on the roadside in Te Puna. Two suspects left in a vehicle and were not located.

January 16 — a vehicle parked in Omokoroa had its rear window smashed, no property taken from the vehicle. Another vehicle parked on a residential section in Omokoroa also had its rear window smashed and a wallet stolen.

Other: — a busy week for police staff with domestic-related incidents.

Found property: — a camera was located at Fairview Estate Golf Club.
