No education classes will occur at Sarjeant on the Quay until Level 1 and suitable distancing can be guaranteed. In the meantime the Sarjeant’s educational resources will continue to be provided online.

The Sarjeant’s object gallery above the iSite will remain closed until we are in Level 1, and no events will be held at 38 Taupō Quay until we have reached Alert Level 1.

TUI MOTU GROUP

What: Tui Motu, an Independent Catholic Magazine, will challenge us to look at social, ecological and spiritual values. Contribute to the discussion — inter-church and inter-faith dialogue is welcomed. With Liz Hickey rsj.

SARJEANT GALLERY

What: Art Fix: On the Move – Modes of Transport from the Collection

Sarjeant Gallery Curator of Collections Jennifer Taylor Moore will guide us through the On the Move, showcasing images of modes of transport from the Sarjeant Gallery collection.

When: Thursday 21 October, 2.00pm – 3.00pm

Where: Sarjeant On The Quay, 38 Taupō Quay

WHANGANUI GUIDED WALKING TOURS

What: Learn about Whanganui’s history through its buildings, monuments, people and stories.

When: Starting Saturday October 23, 24, 25 and continuing through the summer. Tours begin at 10am and 2pm. Ring the i-Site for a booking 349 0508.

Where: Tours start from the i-Site.

Details: Tours take about two and a half hours, $10 per person.

DVD EVENING

What: Ride Like a Girl. As a little girl Michelle Payne dreams of the impossible: winning the Melbourne Cup – horse racing’s toughest two-mile race. Together with the love of her father and her brother Stevie, Michelle overcomes impossible odds for a shot at her dream. The rest is history.
