Rosemary Shannon 1948-2000

The Review has learned with regret and sadness of the death of Rosemary Shannon. Rosemary served on the Review committee from 1979 to 1982 as business and production manager. Like the cohort of enthusiasts who first established the magazine in 1976, she worked at the time she joined the Review team at the Department of Trade and Industry. She brought to her work at the Review not just her keen enthusiasm, but a determination to ensure that the magazine met the highest practicable design and production standards. The impact of her efforts can be seen in the improvements in the design and layout of the Review under her tutelage. She established excellent working relations with Brian Lovett and Peter Robinson of Industrial Art & Communication (later Visual Perceptions), whose contract to prepare the Review dates from those years.
