On 13 October the branch's student sub-group organised an expert panel on 'Careers without Borders 2023'. It featured speakers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the fields of international security, economy and development.

On 10 November the branch collaborated with the Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence and the Asia Forum to stage a hybrid session on 'APEC Summit 2022: Issues and Challenges'. The key note speakers were Prof Thitinan Pongsudhirak ('APEC 2022 in Thailand: What's At Stake?') and Prof Pa vida Pananond ('Regionalisation in the Era of "Resilience"').
