‘‘Aotearoa NZ’s biggest little film festival right here in Katikati’’

“We’re excited to be back sharing this unique festival with our community after a couple of disrupted years due to COVID,” says Jacqui Knight, Manager of Katch Katikati. “We’re screening three sessions this year due to previous year’s sessions selling out and we don’t want anyone to miss out.”

Each session includes eight short international and national movies running from four to 19 minutes long so there’s lots of variety for audiences.

Katikati’s screenings of the Show Me Shorts Film Festival include ‘The Sampler’ and ‘The Cost of Progress’ sessions.

‘The Sampler’ screens on Saturday 8th at 6.30pm and Monday 10th at 1.30pm and includes a collection of highlights from this year’s Festival spanning a range of genres from dark comedy to drama. “These are some of the most cinematic short films that will make you laugh, gasp or think more deeply about our world and the people in it. It’s all about the connections between us. Sometimes things go haywire, while at others everything is in sync!” says Mark Prebble...
