Known as the toughest two minutes in sport, this challenge entails climbing a six storey tower, hoisting a hose, returning to the base of the tower and hitting a forcible entry machine, running cones, dragging a fully charged hose 25 metres to shoot a target, then finishing by dragging an 81kg dummy backwards 30 metres

Jodi Reymer, a firefighter for Pirongia Rural Fire, Rob Willey, a senior firefighter for Te Awamutu Volunteer Fire Brigade, and Dave Shaw, a senior firefighter for Te Awamutu, headed to Auckland’s UFBA North Island Firefighter Challenge in early April.

All three competitors took first place in their age-based categories, Jodi winning fastest female overall.
