Game-breaking crosscode centre extends her stay in Brisbane

Reigning Broncos NRLW Player of the Year and crosscode star Mele Hufanga, along with fellow Kiwis Gayle Broughton, Neta Nu’uausala and Tafito Lafaele have all put pen to paper for contract extensions

NRLW veteran Chelsea Lenarduzzi and Queensland Under-19s star Skyla Adams have has also committed to the Brisbane club for the for 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Young gun Cassey Tohi-Hiku has signed a long-term extension with the Eels through to the end of 2026.

At just 20, Tohi-Hiku has already represented Tonga and the Australian PM’s XIII, and been selected as 18th woman for the NSW Origin team.

The young winger made her NRLW debut in 2022 and has chalked up 13 games for the Eels.

The Eels also secured rising star Tyla Amiatu through to the end of 2025. The hard-running prop made an instant impact after making her NRLW debut in 2023, to earn a spot in the starting side in the final three rounds of the season.
