October 4: A male on a bike seen stealing a cable from a coffee cart on East Belt. An Oxford resident made a purchase on TradeMe, he was notified by them it was a scam but had already made payment

October 5: A Woodend resident listed an item for sale on Marketplace and provided bank details to the purchaser, fraudulent transactions were then made from the account.

October 6: A Rangiora resident reported receiving an email from Police which appeared to be a phishing scam. It said they had been accessing pornography. The email was deleted, sender blocked and Police confirmed it was in fact a scam. An intoxicated male was approaching children and members of the public in Hanmer, he was moved on from the area by Police. A Rangiora male was arrested for assault after resisting Police. On several occasions Facebook Marketplace payments were made to secure an item – profile of the seller was then deleted and no contact available. Purchaser scammed of funds. Vehicle parked in Waikuku had both number plates stolen. Two suspicious males seen on CCTV at an Elm Drive address, nothing taken, they were disturbed by the owner.

October 7: A Christchurch female was processed for excess breath alcohol on Lineside Road. An unknown male chased off a property by dogs in Sefton during the early hours. Three Kaiapoi males were processed for driving with excess breath alcohol on Smith Street. A Christchurch male was suspended from driving for failing to remain stopped at a checkpoint, vehicle...
