Despite 10 runs off the final two balls to tailender Hannah Rowe, New Zealand suffered a one-run defeat in Antigua yesterday

The visiting side was chasing a modest target of just 116, but finished on 114 for nine after a lacklustre batting display.

No9 Rowe top-scored with 27 not out. Captain Sophie Devine, on 23, was the only other White Fern to make it past 20.

Earlier, New Zealand produced a strong bowling and fielding effort to restrict the home side to 115 all out from its 20 overs.
