The show, which comes to Dunedin’s Regent Theatre this Saturday, at 7.30pm, marks 50 years since the release of Carole King’s best-selling album Tapestry

Hailed as one of the world’s greatest singer-songwriters, King released Tapestry in 1971 and changed the face of music for women forever.

In her A Natural Woman show, Ali Harper showcases King’s many much-loved songs, and also helps the audience discover the woman behind the music.

Among the hit songs written by King, and performed by her and many well-known 1960s groups were I Feel The Earth Move; Smackwater Jack and You’ve Got A Friend.
