Students strike for climate change

The local strike involved a group of students across multiple schools, along with the support of people in the community of all ages, who met at Zeal Kāpiti where they made signs and heard presentations by Jackie Adams from the Environmental Protection Authority and Amanda Dobson from Enviroschools

Led by a group of students from Kāpiti College and Paraparaumu College, including Sorcha-Haki Adams, Aroa Al Masri, Santino Morehu-Smith, Evy Dewhurst, Olivia Berra and Isla Rountree, the group marched around Kāpiti before arriving at council chambers to hand over their demands.
