■ WANGANUI COMPETITIONS SOCIETY DANCE FESTIVAL 2021
What: Dancers from throughout the country are entered to compete. Classes include ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, tap and groups.
When: Wednesday, April 28, to Sunday, May 2, from 9am.
Where: Royal Wanganui Opera House.

■ WHANGANUI CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY
What: Now in its fourth year, the concert celebrates the tradition of jazz music, its influence on contemporary culture and its importance to education. Featuring Rodger Fox Nonet.
