Big harness season planned

As it was last year, one of the big features of the 2023/2024 season is the positioning of the Invercargill Cup in December, scheduled for a twilight meeting on December 22

The date, plus the 4pm start time, would be suited to Christmas break-up functions.

The traditional summer racing circuit will again visit Central Otago soon after New Year with meetings at Omakau (January 2), Roxburgh (January 4) and Cromwell (January 6).

The Cromwell meeting is hosted by the Wyndham Harness Racing Club each year and, as it did last year, the club will return to Cromwell for two further meetings on February 23 and 25.

There are several twilight meetings on the schedule, particularly during summer, giving people the opportunity to come along after work to enjoy those long evenings.
