New president, members join Chamber board

Chamber chief executive Sheree Carey said Mr McDonald was poised to lead the Chamber with vision and determination and brought a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the role

‘‘As a small business owner myself, I understand the daily challenges and opportunities that our chamber members encounter.

‘‘I am committed to leveraging my firsthand experience to advocate for practical solutions and drive positive outcomes for our local business community,’’ Mr McDonald said.

Joining Mr McDonald in steering the chamber’s strategic direction were two newly elected board members Keri Mehi Consulting owner Dr Keri Milne-Ihimaera and Bonisch Consultants general manager Adam Ronald. Board member Chris Hughes from McLeay Precision Engineering was also re-elected.

Dr Milne-Ihimaera and Mr Ronald’s diverse backgrounds and proven track records in business leadership made them valuable additions to the chamber’s board by meeting the evolving needs of the Southland business landscape, Mrs Carey said.
