Strong season ahead for Clinton rugby

The club aims to get its community involved in becoming life-long members of rugby

Club members have become actively involved in their community — all thanks to the sport.

The club was established in 1886, and it remains tight-knit with strong community involvement and support.

The club is thankful to all of its supporters.

It has a lot of younger players coming through at the moment for their premier team, which has been great in helping to build their amazing club culture in Clinton.

Clinton is thankful to all of its club sponsors, their committee and everyone who helps out behind the scenes, on game days, and their further supporters.

The club is focusing on continuing to strengthen the bond between junior and senior players, which upcoming games and club fundraisers will assist in this.

The Clinton Junior Rugby Club have a fantastic bunch of juniors who are fizzing for their season to begin at the end of this month.

Junior club convener Joey Herbert says the kids have been talking about getting back into rugby for months.

The Clinton juniors have strong junior teams and the club is growing more and more each year.

‘‘We’ve got more and more strong families who are involved in coaching and supporting, which is fantastic,’’ Mr Herbert said.
